Everyone who is looking at a retirement account statement and other investment docs for filing their taxes has to worry about the news from Wall Street and Washington. Wall Street is famous for creating investments that no one really understands, because they are not things that people can hold and look at. It has been a long time simce people actually received paper shares of companies, and the new investments are more math formulas than a share of something you might recognize.
